Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and the Christian faith, in a friendly, open and informal environment. No pressure. No follow-up. No charge.
If you have questions about Christianity, we would like to invite you to join the next Alpha course. The Alpha course consists of a series of talks, looking at topics such as ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why and how do I pray?’ with the option of a day or weekend away.
Each session begins with a meal and a chance to get to know others in the small group. This is followed by a short talk and a time of discussion, where everyone is welcome to ask questions and share their opinion with the rest of their small group.
The Alpha course is designed primarily for people who aren't churchgoers. It is also a means of helping new Christians learn more about the Christian faith.
You don't need to be a Christian to attend Alpha; many guests have never been to church before. The course is designed for anyone who is interested in asking questions or learning more about the Christian faith. The Alpha course attracts a diverse range of guests of different ages and backgrounds, holding many different viewpoints.
Guests attend Alpha for a wide variety of reasons - some want to investigate whether God exists; others are concerned about what happens after death; whilst others have particular questions that they would like to discuss.
The Alpha course aims to be a low-pressure and non-threatening experience. If you don’t feel that the course is for you, you are under no obligation to return. No pressure. No follow-up. No charge.
