An offering is taken as part of our worship services on Sundays and during the week. Your giving will help us continue to have our services, Discipleship pathway, and support people including the vulnerable in our community.
We encourage the use of Gift Aid envelopes if you pay UK income tax or capital gains tax. You must pay UK Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax equal to at least the tax that South Street Baptist Church and any other charities reclaims in the year of donation (Currently 25p for each £1 that you give).
This will also give you the opportunity to give to specific areas of our ministry.
You can write up a cheque for any amount payable to SOUTH STREET BAPTIST CHURCH, account payee only and put in the offering baskets at church, House of Peace (HOP) meetings or post to the church address at:
66-68 Greenwich South Street, Royal Borough of Greenwich, London SE10 8UN
Many employers have a GAYE Payroll Giving scheme which is a means of giving from your income before tax is deducted. This means if you give £100 per month and are a basic rate taxpayer, the gift will only cost you £80 from your net pay. If you pay a higher rate of tax, giving SSBC £100 a month will only cost you £60 from your net pay.
Some employers will match an employee’s charitable giving so it is worth enquiring about your company’s policy from the HR office.
If you have any questions about giving to South Street Baptist church or to let us know about any changes in your giving, please call the church office on 0208 691 1270 or send us an email.
