COVID-19 Updates

Please check here for regular updates concerning Sunday services and Discipleship Classes at South Street Baptist Church.

On Monday 4 January 2021, the UK Government declared a six week lockdown in England. Although places of worship are still permitted to meet for Sunday services, it was agreed by the Church Leadership that we continue to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of our congregation during this pandemic. In light of this, Sunday Services will now take place on Zoom every Sunday throughout lockdown at 10:30am. Log in details will be made available to the congregation and we encourage you to engage with your household, and personally invite friends. For security reasons, we ask that you do not post the log in details on social media or anywhere online.

The live streamed YouTube services are currently suspended and will return in due course. SSBC will continue to post other content during lockdown to help you worship and engage with God's Word. Subscribe to our channel so you don't miss an upload.

DISCIPLESHIP CLASSES & HOUSE OF PEACE (HOP)

All discipleship classes and HOP will continue to be online until further notice.  We encourage you to continue feeding your spiritual life by engaging with us weekly.

DAILY DEVOTIONS

Daily Devotions will continue to be sent via email, Monday-Saturday.  We encourage you to use this for reading, reflection and application.  If you would like to join the mailing list, please contact the church office.

CHILDREN & YOUTH MINISTRY

The parents and guardians of the Children’s ministry (First Steps & Quest) and Y Factor youth ministry will be sent details of how their services will resume during lockdown. Keep an eye on the Events page for upcoming services and teaching sessions.

PASTORAL CARE

The Pastors, leaders and Watchmen (prayer and intercession team) of SSBC are on standby to pray and support you if you are anxious or affected by the outbreak of COVID-19. We care about you and love you so don’t feel alone. Please contact us to let us know about your situation and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We want you to know that you are not just a number to us in this church but highly valued and loved.

Finally, I will leave you with this bible verse as the Lord will speak to us;

'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' Isaiah 41:10 (NASU)
