Who we are…

South Street Baptist Church (SSBC) is a mixed community of people. We are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those who worship with us and in our surrounding communities.

We are a church that actively preach and teach the Word of God with end-time revelation, encouraging application in every area of our lives. We also encourage a culture of accountability through weekly House Of Peace (Small Groups); mid-week worship; teaching and activation sessions and community activities. Living a lifestyle of ‘passionate spirituality’ is very important to us, as we desire to see people experience the love, compassion, power and presence of God in everyday life.

We also seek to support individuals and families on many different levels, from spirituality; education; financial management and debt counselling in partnership with Christians Against Poverty (CAP), and distributing food parcels.

Our core values

Prayer, Action, Word, Serve are not restricted to our church, but beliefs that we also share within the community itself. We desire to be a church that empowers and serves its community, and energetically participates in activities that matters to the people around us and engage in  Acts of love.
