Volunteering in a ministry can be the most rewarding way to get involved in SSBC. Volunteers use their skill sets and make great friends in the process.

Serving God, serving others

At South Street, we believe that serving is how we express the Life of Christ to others. Serving provides the opportunity to connect with others while seeing Jesus do exciting things through those who call SSBC home. If you’re a member or a regular attendant in our church and you want an opportunity to serve, then why don’t you take advantage of a first serve opportunity and try something until you find your sweet spot?

Where you can serve

Take a look through the list of volunteer and ministry opportunities to see where you can use your gifts and talents to honour God, and serve others in love.

The work of our church is made possible by the dedicated work of dozens of volunteers who help to teach our young people in Children’s Church; run Small Groups; set up tea and coffee as part of Hospitality ministry; run the audio visual, media and projection (Technical team); get involved in outreach events; serve on the Ushering Team; become a CAP debt coach; help us to engage in ongoing Prayer, and building maintenance, to name but a few.

There are always opportunity for new volunteers to help in ministry. You can email us if you want to find out more about how you can serve in the church.
